A successful meeting took place March 2nd at the Dublin Library directed by President Bill Wallace. Minutes were read by Secretary Bev Armstrong and a Treasury report was given by Treasurer Cherri Wallace. Discussion took place about the upcoming Equine Affaire, Circuit Awards, Year End Awards, Show Bill, Slot Classes, and our two Show weekends in Ohio. Fifteen people attended this meeting. Mary Ann Fielitz reported on the judges that were hired for the June 14th and 15th show. They are: June 14th Ericka Utz,Robert Milks,and Alan Wood..June 15th Stephanie McConnell, Clayton Alter,Wayne Erwin. This show will be at Findlay University(Western Facility) Findlay,Ohio.This is the Midwest Gold Show and on June 15th will be the ALL BREEDS ANY COLOR SLOT SHOW. Please call Vicki Parker for more info on this $150.00/SLOT. 20% OFFICE FEE..100% remaining money paid back. 10 available slots-per halter class 15 available slots-per performance and lounge line classes HALTER MARES,HALTER GELDINGS,YEARLING LOUNGE LINE,WESTERN PLEASURE,ENGLISH PLEASURE Our deepest sympathy goes to Mary Ann Fielitz who lost her father in Feb. A card was sent from PEAO ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PEAO had a booth at the Findlay Swap Meet in Feb. Martha Hoff and her granddaughter Julia from N.J. came in for this event and stayed for a short visit with the Parkers. Sad news from Judy Gorius. Her beloved mare "Missy" had to be put down at OSU vet hospital. Don't forget The Ohio State Buckskin Assoc. and Palomino Exhibitors Assoc. of Ohio have a show together on July 5th and 6th held at the Circle G Arena in Brookville,Ohio. For stall reservations at this show contact: Scott Flick (419) 293-3732.If you want a copy of this show bill please email Joan School at palominolady@peoplepc.com A beautiful hand blown glass bowl done by an artist at the Corning Ware Plant in NY has been donated to PEAO. Tickets will be sold at the June 14th and 15th show to win this one of a kind treasure. All proceeds will go into the PEAO treasury. NEWS TO BE AWARE OF: Some shavings could contain dangerous black walnut which causes horses to become lame within 24 to 48 hours.The toxins from black walnut are absorbed through the hoof wall and causes inflammation leading to pain.If you suspect your horse has been in contact with black walnut shavings call your veterinarian immediately. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CIRCUIT AWARDS will be at all the PEAO shows this year in the following divisions: color/halter...open performance...amateur...youth 13 yrs and under...youth 14-18 sponsored by PEAO youth western parade awards will be sponsored by Joan School POINTS SYSTEM we will be using the National point system as shown in the PHBA rule book for 2008. You can request a rule book from PHBA sent to you free of charge. You must be a PHBA member to show in our PHBA classes.

PEAO has a Congress Champion and 6 Time 2007 PHBA World Champion. Moira Murty's gelding Tex, aka MWS Twist of Flash, won the Novice Amateur Equitation Over Fences at the Congress. At the PHBA World Show we won the Amateur Showmanship, Amateur Working Hunter, Amateur Equitation Over Fences, Amateur Jumping, Open Working Hunter and Open Jumping Here are some photos...
Shelby Kaplan and her horse Chips Talkin Gold won Trail 13 & under at Palomino Youth World. She also placed top 10 in Showmanship, Horsemanship, Equitation, Hunter under Saddle and Road Hack.

Being in NJ makes it hard to help but I can contribute ideas & ask you all to help with those ideas. The first idea is Southern States feed labels. I share mine with Ohio & NJ & now there is about $250 in that account. But, the best is yet to come & requires your participation. I have a fund raiser that is suitable for men, women, children & teenagers. It is good for horse people or not. It is colorful, very colorful!! It is smaller than a breadbox!! I have ordered 36 of them & they will cost you a mere $5. You will love this idea but, at 36, you getting to me before someone else does, is critical. When you see me drive into Findlay, I suggest you walk over to the rig….no sprint…to get your first choice color pick. Of course, if you are a gambler, you can e mail me & reserve yours now!! I will tell you the colors available but not the product!!! Have fun with this. This is the only time this year this product will be available. See you all on Friday the 27th about 4 PM. Martha K. Sounds like we made alot of contacts.
