We had a nice
turn out with 5 Youth Exhibitors! Also I
am pleased to report many other states supported our
show. Gene Ray Stewart from Owenton,KY brought
four horses. Terry & Melonie Furnish brought
five horses from Indiana.
Martha Hoff
brought two horses from New Jersey. Also,Jan Running
with her yearling filly from Michigan. A big
thank you to all those individuals who hauled into
OHIO we appreciate it.
Thank you to
Vicki Parker who put together a great SHOW PROGRAM.
We hope you will support these great friends of PEAO
who advertised in the program. She also planned out
a delicous Chicken BBQ which both the Reiners and
P.E.A.O. exhibitors and friends enjoyed very
much. We sold 75 dinners and probably could have
sold more! Bill Parker's retirement cake and
UNO cards were a special bonus! Touch of Gold
Quarter Horses of Upper Sandusky,Ohio brought two
fine halter horses to the show.Thank you, Thank
you!!
Bev Armstrong
was our volunteer Ring Stewart for the weekend.
She did a super job. Thank you Bev! Gracie her
beautiful palomino mare was home nursing the new
filly born and bred in KY. Bev is now in charge of
finding our club a nice place to have our Christmas
Dinner Party.
Thanks also to
Cherri Wallace official treasurer of PEAO Amateur
and Open Club.She was there to pay out the checks
for the SLOT CLASSES also to collect and distribute
checks for services rendered by our Wonderful
Judges. Mary Ann Fielitz announced both days for
PEAO and we all thank her for her endless devotion
to our club.
We do have one
more show in Ohio this summer with the Buckskin
Assoc. It will take place this year at the
Un.of Findlay over the
July 4th weekend.

CONGRATULATIONS to Faye from Kentucky who shows
under the guidance of Gene Ray Performance Horses
she showed with the Reiners Assoc. on Saturday and

Great incentive for Palomino Breeders who would like to
breed to Chipped In Chocolate. The Rick Sokolowski
has reduced Forrest's fee to $1000 this year and has
moved him to Ohio. If you would like to breed your
palomino mare and reference PEAO he will give the club
$150. He already has Palomino Performers on the
ground with Limited exposure to Palomino mares. He
throws a high percentage of color on color mares.

SHOW DATES FOR
2009
FIRST SHOW FOR THE
SEASON WILL HAVE OUR SLOT CLASSES!
The date for this
event is: June 13th and 14th
it will be double
judged!
Our second show for
the season will be held at Findlay, Ohio
with the Ohio
Buckskin Association. The date for this show is July 4th
and 5th.
Of course more
details will follow on both shows.

HORSE SHOW PROGRAM
Vicki Parker is
working with Cherri Wallace to complete the 2009 SHOW
PROGRAM. Plans are to get these ads and photos and
checks all in by the end of January so that it can be
printed and be seen at the National Convention in March
of 2009. There are many business card size ads left to
sell at only $30.00 each..also a full page is only
$125.00 if you have a horse for sale this is a cheap way
to advertise and it will be distributed all over the
USA.

Past President of PEAO Mr.
William Shedenhelm (father of Vicki Parker)
has been ill and
hospitalized. All the club members wish him a speedy trip to
complete recovery. He should be home in the next few days.
Carla Carfora, youth member
of PEAO officially retired her wonderful gelding "Rocky"
at the show held in New
Castle, Indiana on Sept.27th. Carla decorated his stall in pink
balloons and streamers. Bettie Carfora, grandmother to Carla
baked a carrot cake for everyone to enjoy at the celebration. He
also received a bag of fresh carrots.

WE HAD A GREAT SHOW WEEKEND IN FINDLAY,O ON JUNE 14TH AND
15TH.
WE SHOWED IN THE NEWLY COMPLETED INDOOR ARENA
WITH ADJOINING BOX STALLS.
THE SLOT CLASSES ON SUNDAY BROUGHT IN SOME NEW COMPETITION
FROM BOTH THE PALOMINO HORSES AND THE OTHER COLOR BREEDS. SOME PEOPLE
WENT HOME WITH SOME NICE SIZED MONEY CHECKS. A BIG THANK YOU GOES OUT TO
VICKI PARKER WHO BROUGHT THIS IDEA TO PEAO AND CARRIED THROUGH WITH THE
IDEA. SHE LITERALLY TALKED SOME PEOPLE INTO ENTERING AND THEY WERE SURE
GLAD THEY DID. MANY SAID THEY'D BE BACK NEXT YEAR.

SAD NEWS ABOUT SOME OLDER MEMBERS OF PEAO
DAVID SWINDLER'S MOM PASSED AWAY ON APRIL 14TH 2008 AFTER A
LONG ILLNESS.
SHE LOVED HORSES AND WATCHING HER SON AND GRANDSON PREFORM ON
THEIR GOLDEN AMERICAN SADDLEBREDS AT THE OHIO STATE FAIR. OUR DEEPEST
SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO THE FAMILY OF BETTIE BJORN. SHE LIVED IN
COLUMBUS,OHIO.
ALSO, PAULINE COTSMIRE WAS QUITE ILL LAST MONTH. PAULINE
LIVES IN GALION,OHIO. HER SON IN LAW BOBBY LEAR SR. WAS A PAST PRESIDENT
OF PEAO AND SO WAS HER LATE HUSBAND ELZY COTSMIRE.

PEAO has a Congress
Champion and 6 Time 2007 PHBA World
Champion. Moira Murty's gelding Tex, aka MWS
Twist of Flash, won the Novice Amateur
Equitation Over Fences at the Congress. At
the PHBA World Show we won the Amateur
Showmanship, Amateur Working Hunter, Amateur
Equitation Over Fences, Amateur Jumping,
Open Working Hunter and Open Jumping Here
